NYC to Sao Paulo and Then to Buenos Aires

IMG-3163Although our flight from JFK to Sao Paulo experienced a fair amount of turbulence, especially over the Atlantic Ocean, we really enjoyed the Delta service which started with the cocktails in the JFK Delta lounge. The flight attendants were very knowledgeable and helpful.

IMG-3164After settling in, we enjoyed a tasty dinner with a glass of excellent red wine. This was followed by an ice cream sundae. Decadent! The Sao Paulo airport is pretty far south in Brazil but our flight from Sao Paulo to Buenos Aires will still be about 3 hours. We are now chilling out in the GOL lounge where they have a good selection of drinks, food, but more importantly, a place to recharge our iPhones, IPads, and laptop computer! Our flight from Sao Paulo to Buenos Aires has been delayed by an hour but, hopefully, it will not be delayed much more. Stay tuned!

Heading to Buenos Aires

Our flight to Buenos Aires was a bit delayed. Fortunately, Aeolineas Argentinas provided us with a very nice flight from Sao Paulo. Money exchange at the Buenos Aires airport took a little bit of time because of the long line. The Buenos Aires airport has good system of obtaining a taxi. Basically, you go to a booth, tell them where you are going, and then they charge you the appropriate price (for us it was $26.00) to get to your destination. The hotel that Siversea selected (Alvear Palace Hotel) was excellent. We had a very nice suite!

Chris and I enjoy spending time traveling throughout the world as well at the beach in San Clemente, California. We continue to explore our incredible world having recently traveled to the Gobi Desert in a successful search for dinosaur fossils. Our son, Matthew, his wife Ashley, and our granddaughter and grandsons live in Connecticut. Our other son, Stephen, lives in Upland, California.
